Cloud Competitive Analysis from a design perspective.

IBM Bluemix (now IBM Cloud) is a full stack cloud platform with over 170 products and services. It competes with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Heroku, etc. Along with Virginia Honig, my research partner, we performed a competitive analysis to the help our design and product teams better understand our competitors.

Research Goals

We specifically wanted to answer these questions:

  • How three of our top competitors treat the Discover, Sign-up, Spin-up experience?
  • How do they integrate multiple service offerings?
